Jerome Fishman

1928-2018

Passed away after living a full and rich life of 90 years. Jerry, “Yainkie,” is preceded in death by his parents Morris Fishman and Esther Rice and his siblings Gladys, Charles & Stanley. He is survived by his longtime companion, Richard Riffer; his sisters-in-law Carol Fishman of Amery, Wisconsin and Barbara Fishman of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his nieces & nephews, Shayne, David, Tamara, Devorah, Jon, & Michael; GreatNieces & Great-Nephews, Jared, Athena, Danae, Declan, Bronson, Preston, & Mackayna. Jerry worked for over 30 years as a social worker for the City and County of San Francisco, before retiring.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 20th at the Berkeley Jewish Community Center, 1414 Walnut St.

The family requests donations be made in Jerry’s name to Stagebridge, American Civil Liberties Union, or The Southern Poverty Law Center.
