Philip Thomas Ragona, 84, died peacefully on December 23, 2018, at his Daly City home where he resided for more than 48 years, surrounded by family and loved ones. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian Frances Ragona; devoted father of Philip, Steven and David Ragona, and devoted uncle of Janet DeRenzi; loving father-in-law of Carole Davidson Ragona, Jennifer Ormsby and Patrice Ragona; cherished son of the late Philip and Mary Ragona; dear brother of Richard Ragona, Annette Ragona and the late Beverly Burke; and loved and remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. A proud native of San Francisco, born June 8, 1934, and a 1951 graduate of Commerce High School in SF; honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Generous of heart and spirit, “Pop” was an admired friend to all that knew him. Friends and family may visit Wednesday, Jan 16th, 3-9 pm, and are invited to attend the 7pm Vigil, at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Jan 17th, 10am at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 3700 Callan Blvd., SSF, with committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. A lunch to commemorat­e Pop will then be served at Val’s Restaurant, 2468 Junipero Serra Blvd, Daly City. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
