Philip Thomas Rag­ona, 84, died peace­fully on De­cem­ber 23, 2018, at his Daly City home where he resided for more than 48 years, sur­rounded by fam­ily and loved ones. Pre­ceded in death by his beloved wife, Mar­ian Frances Rag­ona; de­voted fa­ther of Philip, Steven and David Rag­ona, and de­voted un­cle of Janet DeRenzi; lov­ing fa­ther-in-law of Ca­role David­son Rag­ona, Jennifer Ormsby and Pa­trice Rag­ona; cher­ished son of the late Philip and Mary Rag­ona; dear brother of Richard Rag­ona, An­nette Rag­ona and the late Bev­erly Burke; and loved and re­mem­bered by nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. A proud na­tive of San Fran­cisco, born June 8, 1934, and a 1951 grad­u­ate of Com­merce High School in SF; hon­or­ably served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Gen­er­ous of heart and spirit, “Pop” was an ad­mired friend to all that knew him. Friends and fam­ily may visit Wed­nes­day, Jan 16th, 3-9 pm, and are in­vited to at­tend the 7pm Vigil, at Duggan’s Serra Mor­tu­ary, 500 West­lake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be cel­e­brated Thurs­day, Jan 17th, 10am at St. Au­gus­tine’s Catholic Church, 3700 Cal­lan Blvd., SSF, with com­mit­tal to fol­low at Holy Cross Ceme­tery, Colma. A lunch to com­mem­o­rate Pop will then be served at Val’s Res­tau­rant, 2468 Ju­nipero Serra Blvd, Daly City. All are wel­come.

In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to St. Jude’s Chil­dren’s Hospi­tal.
