Richard Beals Williamson, died at his home in Oakland, CA on December 22, 2018 after a two year struggle with declining health. Rich was born in Eugene, Oregon but grew up in Corvallis. He attended Oregon State University where he made lifelong friends in the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He lived in the Portland area until moving to the Bay Area in 1985 with his wife to be, Jane Graf. Jane and Rich were married in 1987 and lived in Oakland, CA. Rich had a varied career as a menswear store manager, constructi­on contractor and finally retiring from United Airlines in 2003. His retirement years were filled with travel, hiking, reading, volunteer activities and caring for his beloved dogs, Sammy and Jax. He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Williamson and mother, Berdeen Williamson. Rich is survived by his wife, Jane Graf, brother, Brian Williamson, sister, Lucinda Zenor, sons, Casey Williamson and Kelly Williamson, stepson Phillip Pearson and 5 grandchild­ren. A celebratio­n of life will be held at St. Columba Church, 6401 San Pablo Ave., Oakland on Saturday, March 9th at 1PM.
