Suzanne Griffith Young

Suzanne Griffith Young was born January 22, 1932 and died January 30, 2019. The daughter of Alexander Hamilton Griffith and Dorothy Josephine Shields, she attended nursing school at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, graduating in 1953. She married Dr. David Young in 1955 and they raised 5 children. In 1974, she returned to nursing as a surgical nurse at Stanford Hospital, where she worked until retiring in 1994. During this time, she traveled to over 80 countries. She retired to Zihuatanejo, Mexico, where she and David lived for 22 years before returning to California. She will be remembered with love and laughter by her husband, children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
