Why celebrate Valentine’s Day when you can make a whole weekend out of it?

SFJazz brings in a trio of powerful female vocalists for a string of romantic shows stretching from Thursday, Feb. 14, through Sunday, Feb. 17.

The Grammy-nominated Spanish singer Buika, who has been heralded as the queen of flamenco fusion, headlines the Miner Auditorium all four nights with a set that blends traditiona­l Spanish coplas and gypsy arrangemen­ts with jazz improvisat­ion.

Oakland soul singer and music educator Lilan Kane delivers classic love songs in the Joe Henderson Lab on Thursday and follows it with her tribute to Ella Fitzgerald on Friday; while the Bay Area R&B icon the Dynamic Miss Faye Carol takes over the Lab with torch songs and blues on Saturday and Sunday.
