_1 Deadly crash: A motorcycle club of Marines collided with a pickup truck on a rural highway in New Hampshire, killing seven members of the group. State Police said the pickup collided with the riders Friday on a two-lane highway in Randolph. The cause of the collision is not yet known. Along with the seven dead, state police said two additional people were transported to hospitals. The crash involved members of Marine JarHeads MC, a club in New England that includes Marines and their spouses. The National Transportation Safety Board said it is sending a team to the site to investigate the crash. _2 Ship christened: A delegation from Hawaii brought a tropical flair Saturday to a state known for cold weather as a Navy destroyer bearing the name of the late Sen. Daniel Inouye was christened at Bath Iron Works in Maine. There were flowery leis around the necks of dignitaries and a giant one on the ship itself as Irene Hirano Inouye, the ship’s sponsor, smashed a bottle of Champagne on the bow of the future Daniel Inouye. Her late husband was a Medal of Honor recipient who represented Hawaii in the U.S. Senate for a half-century until his death in 2012. When the guided missile destroyer is commissioned into service its home port will be Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. _3 Four killed: A shooting and explosion killed four people at a mobile home park in Santa Maria (Santa Barbara County), including the suspect, police said. Officers responded to the shooting Friday. They found two men dead at the clubhouse and were told that the suspect might be headed to a nearby home. Moments later, police heard an explosion. Firefighters couldn’t immediately fight the blaze because ammunition in the home was exploding. Eventually, police found two more people dead inside, including the suspect. Some residents said there had been long-running enmity among the men. _4 Cocaine bust: Federal authorities raised the amount of cocaine they seized from a ship in Philadelphia port to more than 35,000 pounds, making it the largest cocaine haul in the history of U.S. Customs. They put the street value at $1.1 billion. Laid end to end, the bricks would stretch about 2½ miles, said Casey Durst of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Six crew members have been arrested and are due in federal court Monday. _5 Missouri abortion: The director of Missouri’s health department says Planned Parenthood corrected just four out of 30 deficiencies cited at its abortion clinic in St. Louis, prompting the department’s action to decline to renew its abortion license. Dr. Randall Williams spoke after the state on Friday informed Planned Parenthood of its decision. A judge’s preliminary injunction remains in place, meaning abortions can continue at Missouri’s only abortion clinic. M’Evie Mead, director of Planned Parenthood Advocates in Missouri, says the state continues to try and “weaponize” the licensing process as part of its effort to end abortion in Missouri.
