SAN FRANCISCO

Ajani Adewusi (Lincoln): The 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior did it all for the Mustangs, hitting .529 with 10 doubles, six triples and four home runs, to go with 39 runs, 31 RBIs and a .676 onbase percentage. He also walked 30 times, struck out just eight times, stole 13 bases in 14 attempts and on the mound was 3-2 with a 2.19 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 32 innings. He was named the Academic Athletic Associatio­n’s Player of the Year.

PENINSULA/SOUTH BAY

Steven Zobac (Valley Christian): The 6-3, 170-pound Cal-bound pitcher/outfielder was 6-1 with 75 strikeouts and a 0.23 ERA over 602⁄3 innings and hit .465 with five homers and 12 doubles. The West Catholic Athletic League Player of the Year led the secondrank­ed Warriors (29-4) to a third straight Central Coast Section Open Division crown, 16 straight wins to end the season and a No. 16 national ranking by MaxPreps.

NORTH BAY

Connor Charpiot (Maria Carrillo-Santa Rosa): The 5-11, 170-pound junior infielder led the Pumas (19-10) to the North Coast Section Division 2 finals, hitting .327 with 33 hits and a team-best 25 RBIs. He struck out just 12 times in 111 plate appearance­s. He was also Maria Carrillo’s top pitcher (4-2, 0.76 ERA). The first-team All-North Bay League standout allowed just 38 hits in 551⁄3 innings and struck out 33. He allowed just four hits in an NCS semifinal win over Casa Grande-Petaluma.

CONTRA COSTA/TRI-VALLEY

Kyle Harrison (De La SalleConco­rd): The 6-2 junior left-hander was the East Bay Athletic League Most Valuable Player, leading the Spartans to a 29-1 record, 28-game win streak, fourth straight NCS Division 1 title and No. 5 national ranking. The UCLA commit went 10-0 with a 1.26 ERA, striking out 103 and allowing just 26 hits in 61 innings. He also batted .286 and had 20 RBIs.
