In a week when even Jim Cramer said the stock market was being too optimistic, this also happened:

Let’s hope what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas: Nevada casinos from Lake Tahoe to Laughlin said they will open this week. MGM Resorts said it will reopen its Bellagio, New YorkNew York and MGM Grand resorts, and its Signature gambling-free towers. Caesars Entertainment will reopen Caesars

Palace and the Flamingo in Las Vegas and its Harrah’s properties in Lake Tahoe and Laughlin. The Cosmopolitan emphasized its open-air balconies over the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Sands

Corp. said its Venetian will open first, and its Palazzo tower at a later date. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Lake Tahoe began offering rooms for $20.20 a night in a promotion marking the return of gambling, which was shut down statewide for the first time since legalization in 1931. Hawaii is not as accommodating: Gov. David Ige said he would extend the state’s 14-day quarantine for travelers arriving beyond June 30.

Another big reopening: Apple Stores. An additional 100 stores across the country, including 13 in the Bay Area, will offer pickup of online orders and Genius Bar appointments. The San Francisco flagship in Union Square is open, as is the Chestnut Street store. Stores in Berkeley, Burlingame, Corte Madera, Cupertino, Emeryville, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, San Mateo and Walnut Creek are open. Stores in Pleasanton, Santa Clara and San Jose, as well as the Stonestown mall, remain closed. Santa Rosa’s store will reopen Sunday.
