Ted is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara LeMaire, his sister Barbara ( Jack) McDevitt, his stepdaught­ers Karen ( Greg) Racicot, Kristine Kjos Lastition, Katheen ( Scott) Miller, Kimberley ( Aaron) Harris, Karla Kjos; his six grandchild­ren; his nieces; Franchesca, Mary, Laura, Elaine, Annie and Christy and nephews Joseph, John, Carl, Theodore, William, and David.

Ted is preceded in death by his brothers Paul and Larry, his parents Fred and Helen, and his nephew James.

Ted was raised in Highland Park, CA, he attended Saint Anthony’s high school until 1947. Ted attended San Louis Rey Seminary College then San Miguel Mission Santa Barbara Mission graduating in 1955 as a Franciscan Order of Fryers Minor Priest 1954- 1970. After his 16 years of priesthood, Ted worked for the state Department of Fair Employment and Housing as an Investigat­or. In 1997, he retired as the District Administra­tor of the San Francisco office.

Ted was a talented artist and actor. Every Holiday card included personaliz­ed drawings and his love for the theatre landed him roles in Dark of the Moon,

Prelude to a Kiss, Bye Bye Birdie, There Ain’t No U in Lonely, and Emperor’s New Clothes. He was also a featured extra in The Game.

He was a sports enthusiast and loved watching basketball, baseball, and football. His favorite teams were the Warriors, Giants and 49ers. He enjoyed horse races in his younger years.

His happy smile and calm voice conveyed his genuine, positive and encouragin­g nature. His passion for life, spirituall­y, physically and mindfully gave him a glow that illuminate­d brighter with every day. He is missed and loved by all who knew him.

A memorial was held on December 6, 2020.
