FA Cup holder Arsenal bounced

Last season’s FA Cup winner Arsenal was eliminated from the competitio­n in the fourth round on Saturday thanks to Gabriel’s owngoal in a 10 loss at Southampto­n, while Manchester City survived a scare to beat fourthtier Cheltenham 31.

English Premier League clubs Brighton, West Ham and Sheffield United all won their fourthroun­d games against lowerleagu­e teams.

Goggia won her fourth straight downhill to tie a World Cup streak by Lindsey Vonn in 2018. They are the only women to achieve the feat in the past 25 years.

Emerging American skier Breezy Johnson’s streak of four thirdplace finishes in downhill ended with a fifthplace finish. She is becoming the Americans’ most consistent threat in downhill since Vonn retired two years ago.

Vonn’s best streak in World Cup downhill was six wins in 200910, which matched Picabo Street’s run in 1995.

Horse racing: Knicks Go went to the lead right out of the gate and won the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitation­al at Hallandale Beach, Fla. Jesus’ Team was second and Independen­ce Hall was third.
