Madeline Louise Torre

Madeline Louise Torre passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 13, 2021. She is survived by her nephew Andrew, his wife Zoea and cherished great nephew Anthony. She is preceded in death by her sister Pierina Maso, brotherin-law Anthony Maso, niece Cristina Maso, and parents Pietro and Angela Torre. Madeline lived all of her life in North Beach. She graduated from St. Brigid’s High School and San Francisco State University. For most of her career she worked at Four Wheel Brake in San Francisco where she retired as office manager. Madeline loved to stay busy so, in retirement, she went to work at the Italian Catholic Federation and also volunteere­d at St. Francis of Assisi church in North Beach. Madeline was a devout catholic and was very proud of her Italian heritage. She was fluent in the Genoese dialect and loved to keep up communicat­ions with her relatives in Italy. Madeline will most fondly be remembered as an excellent chef and her family will miss her incredible meals. Due to COVID funeral services will be private. A celebratio­n of Madeline’s life will take place at a later date.
