Patricia “Patty” (Heckman) Adams

August 27, 1955 - February 24, 2021

-

Patty passed peacefully with her loving son and daughter-in-law by her side on February 24, 2021 following a brief illness. Patty was born in San Francisco on August 27, 1955, to Warren and Marie Heckman. Patty grew up in South San Francisco, attending and graduating from South San Francisco High School in 1973.

Patty married her husband, Mike Adams in 1975, and moved to Biggs, CA with Mike and her son, James (JW) in 1980. Patty worked at Pirelli Cable in Calusa, until opening the UPS Store in Gridley, CA with her identical twin sister, Tina Oppenheim, in 2006. Patty and Tina owned and operated the store until their retirement in March of 2018.

Patty was warm hearted, fun loving, and caring. In addition to deeply loving her family, Patty also held a special place in her heart for her dogs and her adopted home community of Biggs. Patty especially loved the trips she and her husband Mike would make to Baja Mexico, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and deep-sea fishing. Patty will be deeply missed.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband Mike Adams, her beloved twin sister Tina Oppenheim, and her parents Warren and Marie Heckman.

Patty is survived by her loving son J.W. Adams and his wife Shastina, her brother Mark Heckman and his wife Kathy, grandson James Adams, granddaughter Faithlynn Adams, stepson Mike Adams, stepdaughter Sandy Adams, niece Kellie Walker, and nephews David and Sean Heckman.

Due to Covid, a Celebration-Of-Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local SPCA, Humane Society, or your favorite charity.
