Gail Partee

1938 - 2021

-

Gail was born in San Francisco where she spent the first 18 years of her life. After graduating from Star of the Sea School, she entered the Convent of St. Joseph The Worker where she became a sister of

St. Joseph of Carondelet. During her years as a Nun she earned her teaching credential at Mt. St. Mary’s College and spent many years teaching at Catholic elementary schools. After many years away from home and family Gail moved back to the area and settled in Marin County. She enjoyed spending more time with family and friends and visiting the places she enjoyed so much; Nicasio and Stewart Ranch in Olema. Gail loved the outdoors and especially fishing with her longtime friends Barbara and JoAnn at Twin Lakes in Bridgeport. Some of her happiest years were spent working at Pt. Reyes National Seashore, she always said she had the best colleagues and so was grateful to have had the opportunity to work 20 years at a place she dearly loved. Everyone who knew Gail would agree that she was a kind, giving and loving person. Her smile, laugh and positive attitude will be greatly missed by her brother Gary (Cheryl), sister Kathy (Brenny), all of her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

If desired, in honor of Gail, donations can be made to : Ryan Partee Memorial Scholarship Fund, Our Lady of Angels Catholic School, 1328 Cabrillo Ave., Burlingame, CA 94010. Private family services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
