Gary S. Presco

-

Passed away peacefully at home in Millbrae, CA, on Monday, March 8th at the age of 81. Gary was born and raised in Alameda, CA, where as a kid he enjoyed all things outdoors-fishing on the bay, playing baseball, & spending summers riding horses at camp. He graduated from Encinal High School in 1957 and from there went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Gary worked for several years at U-Haul, where he met his future wife Jill and eventually became a self-employed general contractor for the rest of his career. Gary was a resident of Millbrae for 40 years where he and Jill raised their kids, Jesse & Lauren. An avid Bay Area sports fan, Gary loved all things baseball and played a role in passing the love of the game onto his kids. Not only was he a coach for both Lions boy’s baseball and MGSA girl’s softball, he held many leadership roles within MGSA. He was particularly passionate about supporting young women’s sports.

Gary was a stroke survivor for the remaining 16 years of his life, his longevity and strength is something to be admired. Gary had a passionate love affair with cold cuts, red wine, and Lays potato chips, which he often enjoyed on the couch while watching old Westerns and World War II movies. Gary is survived by his loving family, including Jill, Jesse, Lauren, his son-in-law, Dan, his grandson, Rocco, and his sister, Sue.

Services are to be held on Thursday, March 18 with a visitation from 2-4pm and Memorial Liturgy to begin at 3pm at Chapel of The Highlands 194 Millwood Dr, Millbrae, CA 94030.

If you would like to make a donation in Gary’s honor please send checks to the REACH Program, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.
