Chuck “Charlie,” “Chuck,” “Bud,” “Uncle BBC” , dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, in-law and friend passed away on January 13th after a long battle with real disease.

Chuck was born in San Francisco to Peter and Ruth Pisani. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and Gere.

Chuck had many loves: coaching his boys’ soccer and baseball teams, classic cars and especially his 1961 Corvette, traveling, whales, World War II books and documentaries, and music from the 50s and 60s.

But most of all he loved his family.

He is survived today by his loving wife of 54 years, Cammie, his beloved sons, Chris and Mike and daughters-in-law Victoria and Monica, adored granddaughters Mia and Chiara, sisters-in-law Joan Pisani and Judith Nielsen, brotherin-law Steve Nielsen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Chuck was the quiet, unassuming presence at boisterous family gatherings, sitting in his favorite corner on the sofa, saying little, missing nothing, and quietly injecting clever observations and witticisms that made everyone who was lucky enough to hear them, laugh with delight. We are ever grateful for the kindness, loyalty, humor, and gentleness he brought into our lives. Perhaps Chuck’s greatest legacy is the nice guys finish loved, treasured, and deeply missed.

A celebration of Life in Chuck’s honor will be held when we can gather together safely. Please reach out to the family if you wish to be included. Meanwhile, we would like to thank everyone for their love and support while we struggle with our loss.
