San Francisco Chronicle - (Sunday)
Lernito Lozano Prudenciado
September 10, 1942 – March 24, 2021
Deacon Lerny entered into eternal rest March 24, 2021, with his family at his side, at the age of 78. A child of God and a man of faith.
He will be forever missed by his beloved wife Christine, his devoted children Theresa (Jamie) Schanbeck, David (Mares) Prudenciado, and Carla (Raul) Campos; and his cherished grandchildren Joseph, Tierra, Sydney, Joshua, Taya, Deanna Miki, Trinity and Tialeani. He has now joined his beloved wife Mimi, his cherished granddaughter Tasia Schanbeck, his proud mother Dr. Sofia Prudenciado and many other loving relatives and friends who have passed before him.
A man whose life centered around God and his family – there is nothing he wouldn’t have done for either. He served at various parishes during his days as an engineering manager in Silicon Valley, primarily at St. Augustine Church. In 1995 he was ordained a Permanent Deacon, leaving behind a successful career in Silicon Valley to “do God’s work” full time, serving at Holy Angels Church for over 26 years. He not only loved his family beyond words, he opened his heart to the people he served and they became his extended family. His love and enthusiasm in helping others to experience the love of God in their own lives was a gift that we will all carry with us for the rest of our days.
Due to COVID restrictions, attendance at his services will be limited.
