Lillian A. Ceruti

-

Lillian Angela Ceruti was born in San Francisco on June 26, 1936 and was raised in North Beach and Union street, until her 1955 marriage to the legendary Lou Cassulo. She passed peacefully with family at her side on April 7, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Felice and Lena Ceruti and twin sons lost tragically at birth in 1956. She was also predeceased by John Johnson, with whom she enjoyed many active social years at their Del Webb communities.

She is survived by her three daughters with Lou; Laura, (Lou) Lisa (Bill) and Lesanne (Mike).

She was a loving Nonni to Dan and Dominic Matteucci, Raymond Smith and Mikey Mallen; and a proud ‘Bis” Nonni to Leo, Michela, Sofia, and Pippa Matteucci. She will be missed by lifelong friends and her extended Italian family. She also leaves her beloved Yorkie babies, Santino and Coccalina.

Lillian was a bright, resourceful, and resilient woman who enjoyed her garden, entertaining, and extensive travel with a special fondness for Italy, and its language, which she practiced regularly with her “Italian Group”.

In recent years her grit and sense of humor proved invaluable as she found herself slowing down due to health constraints .... “I’m glad I danced as much as I did when I could, and oh, how I loved it”. May she now dance with the angels .....

Special thanks to her caregiver Nia, Nurse Carrie, and the Green Valley Hospice team for their thoughtful and compassionate care. Condolences may be offered to her family through https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/10145096

A private family service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery where she was laid to rest with her beloved Mother. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
