Madeline Caroline Spediacci

Madeline Caroline Spediacci (nee Stagnaro) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 9th, two weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Madeline was born and raised in the Bayview and North Beach districts of San Francisco. After World War II she married the love of her life, Raymond Spediacci in 1947. They moved to the Excelsior District where they raised four children and built a life together. She spent many happy years working at Joe’s Fish Grotto in the Excelsior where she made many lifelong friends. She adored working for the Clima family for 32 years. She was a native San Francisco girl at heart. Madeline and Ray retired to Scotts Valley in 1970. Madeline will be remembered for her laughter and her kindness, as well as her famous raviolis. She loved everyone she met and her family most of all.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond and eldest daughter Madeline “Dee” Miller. She is survived by her three children: Johnny Spediacci (Diane), Carole Acosta (George, deceased) and Angela
Bouchard; Sister-in-law Evelyn Spediacci-Rockwell who she helped raise and was like a daughter to her; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters Shirley Bruno (Tony, deceased) and Marie Doty along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her two brothers, Louie Stagnaro (Dorothy, deceased) and Tony Stagnaro (Aggie) preceded her in death. Due to COVID-19 a private funeral service will be held with a celebration of life to follow when the
COVID-19 restrictions allow. In lieu of flowers the family prefers you make a donation to your choice of charity.
