Eduardo Adonay
October 13, 1926 - April 13, 2021
Eduardo Adonay of San Francisco entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2021 at age 94. Beloved husband of Felicitacion Bundang Adonay; loving Father of Digna, Isagani (Jon), Raul, Marissa, Helen, Daniel and Susan; cherished grandfather to Niko, Gaby, Aidan, Duran, Alex, Jessica and Isabella (Ning); devoted son of Sofronio Ramos and Felicidad Adonay; caring brother to Irena, Ignacio, Pedro, Veronica, Isabel, Agelio and Restituto. Eduardo retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service as a First Class Petty Officer. A Naval Culinary School graduate, he proudly served as a Chef while on duty, and then went on to work at the Animal Care and Research Facility at the San Francisco VA Hospital until his retirement in 1992.
He was a lifetime member of the Fleet Reserve Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Filipino-Californians Senior Citizens Society, Inc. (FIL-CA) where he served as a Director from 2011 and 2012.
Eduardo, an avid dancer, SF Giants and Pacquiao fan, will be remembered not only for his many achievements in his service, but also for his dedication to family, love for his community, and pride of his Filipino culture. He will be remembered for his smile, afternoons watching baseball, celebrating his grandchildren, and Thanksgiving blessings.
Ed, to his friends and Dandoy to his family, will be dearly missed and fondly remembered as an incredibly generous person and a true gentleman with impeccable style.
Go in peace, Tatay, we will hold you forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALZ.org or the Woundedwarriorsproject.org in Eduardo’s name.
