San Francisco Chronicle - (Sunday)
Pamela Jane Henning
Pamela was born and raised in San Francisco’s Marina District. Her schooling was at Sacred Heart and Dominican University. Intellectual curiosity was evident by all the books she read as well as her comments about current events. She read The Chronicle every day turning to the Sports pages first. She wore clothing with the SF Giants logos and colors frequently. At heart she was a tomboy. Horseback riding was her first love so she visited one of the Napa ranches weekly for several years. Woodworking was another past time she enjoyed. Napa was her home for the past 15 years. Many are the friends she made with her wonderful sense of humor, caring nature and enthusiastic poker playing. Although her persona could be tough, once you knew her, she was one of the most caring, humorous, and affectionate people you could know. When given her diagnosis of metastasized lung cancer she thought about it and said: “Well, I’ve never died before so I will look at this as a new adventure.” She will be forever loved and missed.
