Marilyn Malm Linscott


San Francisco Bay Area native, Marilyn Malm Linscott, died at 98.

Born in San Francisco on July 25, 1922 to Walter Ralph and Winifred Corbin Malm. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Nadine Winterboth­am; four children: Wendy Magladry, Betsy Magladry, Nancy Cooper and George William Magladry, III; 10 grandchild­ren; nine great grandchild­ren; as well as her stepchildr­en and their families. Predecease­d by her eldest son, Robert Stanton Magladry.

She was raised in Palo Alto, where she attended Palo Alto High. After graduating from Mills College, she married Dr. George William Magladry, Jr. and moved to San Rafael in 1953.

She later married Robert E. Linscott in 1971. Her loving stepchildr­en are: Tracy Kimes, Robert, Marc, and Bruce Linscott.

She was an active member of St. Luke Presbyteri­an Church, volunteere­d with the American Cancer Society, helped ESL students with reading at San Pedro School, donated blood regularly, and was a longtime member of PEO Chapter NE. She loved entertaini­ng family and friends at her home, where she passed peacefully, on April 26, 2021. Memorial Service to be determined.
