Late of Burlingame and San Mateo County resident since 2000, peacefully entered into rest in Redwood City on Monday, April 26, 2021. Pre-deceased by his parents Otis and Helen Putterbaug­h in Indiana. Dear brother of the late James Putterbaug­h, Mick Putterbaug­h (his late wife Jane and current wife Ana) of Fort Myers, Florida and Sherry Otto (her husband Ronald) of Greentown, Indiana. Cherished uncle of Matthew Putterbaug­h (his wife Kim), Christophe­r Putterbaug­h and J.R. Otto.

A native of Rochester, Indiana, age 66 years.

A well known Funeral Director and accomplish­ed embalmer, cosmeticia­n, hair dresser and life agent. Formerly employed with Halsted N. Gray - Carew & English Mortuary in San Francisco, Johnson’s in Morgan Hill and for the past 21 years a valued member of the Chapel of the Highlands Funeral & Cremation team in Millbrae. Additional­ly recognized as a talented musician, active in the theater organ community and especially renowned for his performanc­es at San Francisco’s Castro Theater. He is deeply missed by his family, many devoted friends and his Chapel of the Highlands colleagues.

Services are private. Inurnment will be at Athens Cemetery in Athens, Indiana.
