David R. Pieruccini

October 14, 1961 - June 9, 2021

-

David passed away unexpectedly from natural causes in San Jose where he lived for the last 30 years. He was born in San Francisco to Roy and Gloria Pieruccini and grew up in the Bayview, in the house his great grandparents built. David attended “Shipwreck” grammar school and graduated from Sacred Heart HS.

For many years David was a Fire Reserve with the San Francisco Fire Department; later becoming a Firefighter/EMT for the DOD at Point Molate Navy Depot and the Alameda Naval Air Station. He then became a traffic enforcement officer at the San Jose Airport before retiring as a code enforcement officer with the City of San Jose in 2018.

He is survived by sister Janet Fisicaro, her husband Jim and niece Gabriella all (conveniently) of Colma, nephew Geoffrey Fisicaro of SF, nephew Alex Mallonee of LA, niece Carson and husband Angelo Kljavin of Walnut Creek, brotherin-law Donal Mallonee of Lafayette, and true friend Anthony Cirimele of SF. His beloved big “sis” Joyce passed away 8 months ago.

David was particularly close to his dad Roy even though he shared absolutely none of his father’s enthusiasm for sports. He loved reading about history, enjoyed a good cigar, a nice red wine, an occasional snort of bourbon and tasty salami secchi from North Beach.

There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, June 22nd at 11am at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary in Daly City followed by entombment alongside his parents at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
