Lena Jagger passed away peacefully at her home of sixty-six years in Menlo Park at the age of 101. She was born during the first pandemic and died of natural causes during the beginning of the second. She lived the first thirty four years of her life in northeastern Washington, marrying twice and raising three children. With her family, she moved to Menlo Park in 1952. She taught third, fourth, and sixth grade in the former Mountain View School District, retiring in 1980. She loved to travel, and enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and Europe. She was known by both friends and family as the best baker of apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. Gardening was a hobby she enjoyed and she could be seen walking two or three times daily in the Allied Arts neighborhood. In her later years after seeing her children and grandchildren grow up, she was able to care for her great-grandchildren which delighted her. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Pavao (Alfred), sons William Christian (Virginia) and Robert Jagger (Trish), six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
