The highly lauded jazz vocalist will be accompanied by pianist Adam Shulman, guitarist Ed Cherry and drummer Jerome Jennings.
Amy Helm and Midnight North:
On a tour promoting her newest album release, “What the Flood Leaves Behind,” the Woodstock native singer-songwriter and multiinstrumentalist, and daughter of Levon Helm, will perform alongside local band Midnight North in an outdoor performance for ages 12 and older. She also plans to perform (without Midnight North) at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley at 8 p.m. on Sept. 2.
Tammy Hall Trio:
The pianist will grace the Mr. Tipple’s listening room with her mighty trio featuring bassist Ruth Davies and drummer Daria Johnson.

SFJazz 2021-22 season/reopening:
The jazz center will begin to present live concerts again starting with vocalist Kat Edmonson’s duo in the Joe Henderson Lab, and pianist Kris Bowers in the Miner Auditorium, on Sept. 23. Also to come in the first wave of heavyweight live jazz at the venue will be Zakir Hussain Trio on Sept. 24; Pat Metheny’s Side Eye on Sept. 25-26; saxophone colossus Joshua Redman in the Miner Auditorium; and Brazil by the Bay with vocalist/pianist Claudia Villela on the Lab stage Oct. 1-3.
