I agree that the lack of housing in San Francisco is an emergency. However, I understand why people resist new housing. It’s not just about property values, it’s also about quiet and safety. I’ve lived in the Haight, the Western Addition, the Excelsior and now, in Miraloma Park.

This is the only neighborho­od where it’s quiet at night, no one leaves garbage in the street and no one has been murdered in the last year.
