There’s no bar quite like the Interval at Long Now, nestled next to Green’s Restaurant in Fort Mason. It’s operated by the Long Now Foundation, a nonprofit whose stated goal is to “foster long-term thinking and responsibility in the framework of the next 10,000 years,” co-founded by composer Brian Eno. Accordingly, the bar is full of abstract artwork, walls of books and a striking, winding staircase at its center.
