Oregon routs Colorado

-

Anthony Brown Jr. threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 7 Oregon amassed a season-high 568 total yards in a 52-29 victory over visiting Colorado on Saturday.

Travis Dye ran for two touchdowns and caught a TD pass for Oregon (7-1, 6-1 Pac-12), which extended its winning streak at Autzen Stadium to 17 games.

Brendon Lewis threw for 224 yards and three TDs for the Buffaloes (2-5, 1-4) who were outmatched by the Ducks. Brenden Rice, son of 49ers Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, had 102 yards receiving and a score. Although he was met by some boos from the home crowd early against Cal on Oct. 15, Brown shook off the critics and rallied Oregon with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter for a 24-17 victory.

“Efficiency, consistency and just making the right reads all around,” Brown said.

Colorado was coming off a 26-3 loss at Cal. The Buffaloes went into the game in Eugene ranked second-to-last in the Pac-12 for touchdowns and points per game.

The Buffaloes were without All-American linebacker Nate Landman because of a softtissue injury. Last weekend in a loss to Cal, Landman became just the sixth player in Buffs’ history with 400 career tackles.

Jayden de Laura accounted for three touchdowns and the visiting Cougars (5-4, 4-2) forced five turnovers, four in the first half, to set the tone. The Sun Devils (5-3, 3-2), coming off a bye week, turned the football over on their opening three drives.

Drake London caught nine passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns before leaving with a serious right leg injury late in the first half, dampening the win for the host Trojans (4-4, 3-3). Keaontay Ingram ran for 186 yards and a touchdown, and Gary Bryant Jr. caught two TD passes as USC snapped a three-game home losing streak. Arizona (0-8, 0-5) saw its losing streak reach 20, the longest in Pac-12 history.
