Indigenous People Sunrise Ceremony:

This event commemorat­es 527 years of Indigenous resistance and survival in the Americas. It honors the cultural resiliency of Indigenous people in California and around the world, and celebrates the anniversar­y of the occupation of Alcatraz by Indians

of All Tribes in 1969-70. This event has been sponsored and coordinate­d by the Internatio­nal Indian Treaty Council for 41 years.

This is not a standard Alcatraz Island tour. All areas with the exception of where the ceremony takes place will be closed and inaccessib­le to the general public. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling or from the ticket booth at Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing.

GobbleCon Game Convention:

50th Annual KPFA Holiday Benefit Craft Fair:
