49ers (4-5) at Jaguars (2-7)

Kickoff: 10 a.m. Sunday

Spotlight on: LT Trent Williams: Jaguars pass rusher Josh Allen, the seventh overall pick in 2019, was a major reason why Jacksonville stunned the Bills 9-6 on Nov. 7. Allen had a sack, interception, fumble recovery and pass breakup. However, the 24-year-old could see plenty of Williams, 33, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection who might be in the midst of the best season of his 11-year career. Williams is Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded NFL player (97.8), and 49ers general manager John Lynch said Friday on KNBR that he’s not sure he’s seen a player have a more dominant season. The guess here is that Allen, an emerging young pass rusher with 5.5 sacks, will receive an education.

Injury notes: 49ers — RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle) is out; RB Elijah Mitchell (finger) is doubtful. Jaguars — RB James Robinson (heel, knee) is questionable.

WHAT TO WATCH

The 49ers have seven takeaways, which matches the second fewest in the NFL. Jaguars rookie QB Trevor Lawrence hasn’t thrown an interception in his past 104 attempts. The Jaguars have allowed 14.8 catches per game to wide receivers, second most in the NFL, and 182.2 yards (seventh most). 49ers WR Deebo Samuel has 54 catches for 979 yards, second in the league. QB Jimmy Garoppolo has posted a passer rating of 100-plus in three straight games. Garoppolo had a career-best streak of four in 2019 (Weeks 10-13).
