Raymond Philip Siotto

-

Raymond Philip Siotto was born October 17, 1949 in San Francisco, where he lived his entire life. He passed away peacefully at his home of forty-five years on November 17th, 2021. Ray had a long and successful career as owner of S&C Ford on Market Street, known to all of a certain generation as the “Home of the Miracle Deal!”

Ray was a big man with a big heart. He was the son of Michael and Adalina, a brother to Michael Jr, a loving father to Jacqueline and devoted husband of Lisa for twenty-six years. Ray started his education at Notre Dame Des Victoires grammar school through 9th grade then proceeded onto Saint Ignatius High School in San Francisco and finally University of San Francisco.

Starting in 1974 as a salesman at S & C Ford, Ray’s gift for sales along with his hard work ethic helped him rise up the company ranks and in 1996 he became the dealership’s owner and president. Over decades he shared his knowledge and experience with Ford’s Dealer Improvement Group, and the Dealer Advertising Association where he was a member of the Board.

Ray was heavily in demand as an adviser, mentor and board member for important businesses and community organizations throughout the City he loved. He served on the Boards of the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club, the Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club, the Golden Gate Breakfast Club, the Executives Association of San Francisco, the San Francisco Convention and

Visitors Bureau, the Museo Italo Americano, the Better Business Bureau, the Friends of the Fire Department, the Friends of the Police Department, and the San Francisco Fleet Week Association.

Ray was also a member of the Calamari Club, The Olympic Club and The San Francisco Bay Club. His fondness for good wine and fine food led to his membership in the Golden Gate Wine Society and the Slow Food Society. His great passions were golf, weight lifting, skiing, skydiving and running. Ray enjoyed cooking, no doubt influenced by his father who was the Executive Chef at the Cliff House in the 1960s. Ray and Lisa also enjoyed traveling extensively abroad.

Services for Ray will take place over two days, Dec 10th/11th. Ray’s Rosary will take place on Friday, December 10th at 7pm at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 666 Filbert Street, San Francisco. The following day, Saturday, December 11th will be Ray’s Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Saint Ignatius Church, 650 Parker Avenue (corner of Fulton Street), San Francisco.
