Angelita (Angie) Chairez passed away peacefully on March 28, 2022. A true native San Franciscan all of her life, she grew up on Tennessee Street, moving to South Van Ness after marrying and then Noe Valley after her retirement. Angie went to Daniel Webster, Marshall, Everett and Mission High School, where she created some lifelong friends. Angie started working when she was 16 years old at several jobs while in high school. She worked at Simmons Mattress for 7 years and then Annabelle’s Candy Company for 30 + years. She was married to the love of her life, Rodolfo Chairez for 52 years. They enjoyed dancing, traveling and spending time with their family. Both were very proud Mexican Americans. Angie was preceded in death by her grandson Alejandro Escalante, son Martin Escalante and her husband, Rodolfo.

She is survived by her son Fred (Margie) Escalante, daughter Victoria Bianculli, daughter in law Linda Luevano, and sister Margaret (John) Bonstead. Loving grandmothe­r to Angela (Rob) Reinertson, Diane (Dale) Ocon, Nicholas (Indira) Bianculli and Gregory (Vanessa) Bianculli. Beloved great grandmothe­r to 8 and great great grandmothe­r to 7, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She will be forever missed for her famous Jell-O molds at all the family gatherings and her “Grandma bags” at birthdays. Above all, she loved her family and always let us know that she loved us more.

Private interment services will be held for the family where she will be reunited with her husband, Rodolfo.
