Colleen Marie McGuinn

Colleen was born in San Francisco, CA but raised in Marin County, attending schools in the Dixie School District.

Following her graduation from Terra Linda High School, Colleen attended San Diego State where she received a BA in Public Administration. She married and moved to Florida where she used that degree as Marketing Coordinator for a private equity and investment firm. She raised her two beautiful children Alaina and Jack first in Florida then moved back to Marin County. Upon returning to the North Bay, Colleen took a job as the director of School Advancement and Public Relations for Mercy High School. With her beautiful smile and with her love of helping people, she took a position at St. Francis Hospital being the Donor information and outreach Officer, the curator for their art gallery, as well as publishing their community bulletin and processing all their donations. One time, in order to raise money for the hospital, she kicked off her shoes and propelled down the Embarcadero III. She loved helping people whether they were her co-workers, patients, family, friends and brought smiles to many people with her bubbly personality. Following St. Francis Hospital, Colleen took a job with Cambridge Assoc.

Colleen enjoyed life to the fullest whether white water rafting, bungee jumping or canoeing with alligators. Colleen would not let obstacles get her down but kept on persevering. She will be remembered for her boundless energy, her warm sweet smile, her funny giggles, her awesome basketball skills and the everlasting memories she created for each of us. However, as nice and sweet as Colleen was, she also knew when to stand up for what she believed was right for her family and for others.

Colleen leaves the two most precious treasures in her life, Alaina and Jack. Her parents, Marty and Louise McGuinn; her brother Sean (Chrissy); niece, Lauren; nephew, Ryan; and many more loving family members and friends.

Our heartfelt thanks to “Our Community” who have so generously taken such good care of Colleen’s children with food, gift cards, financial donations and continuously “watching out” for them.
