-

Resident of Danville Peter Wilson, a 46 year resident of Danville and a 53 year resident of California passed away March 28, 2022 from heart and kidney failure. He was born November 23, 1941, in Boston. Mr. Wilson was the loving husband of Eunice Butterfield Wilson for 58 years and devoted father to James of Oakland, Kevin (Kirsten) of Oakland, Joseph (Kristen) of Lone Tree, CO and Matthew (Kristin) of Lafayette. He was also the devoted grandfather of Mallory, Emily, Patrick, Sean, Paul, Benjamin, Jack, Peter, Lucy, and Joseph. He is also survived by his sisters and brother Elizabeth Martin, Patricia Swenson, William Wilson, and Ann Wilson all of Massachusetts, numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Helen Wilson and by his brothers John and Thomas. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Peters High School, Southboro MA, Boston College and Georgetown University Law Center. He retired from Matson Navigation Company in 2003 after 34 years.

Peter considered himself a lucky guy, born and grew up in the Boston area and lived most of his adult life in the Bay Area- it does not get much better than that. He had loving parents, great siblings, fortunate enough to attend great Massachusetts, public schools, B.C., and Georgetown, married the right girl, four terrific sons, played golf with some great guys, went to work for about the only major steamship company that survived his working career, let Eunice find Danville and St Joan of Arc. Pretty fortunate.

His faith was a major part of his life. Peter frequently attended weekday mass and was an ardent believer in social justice.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass which will be celebrated at St Joan of Arc, San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon CA on April 29 at 1pm, lunch to follow.
