Roxie Ruth (Smith) Clark born on September 8, 1936 died peacefully surrounded by her four beloved sons, Phillip (Donna), Edward (Lindsay), Steven (Carla) and Andrew (Ronda). She leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she cherished more than anything. Roxie also leaves behind her sister Lois Esteban and brothers Ernest Smith & Everett Smith. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 61 years, Lee Ralph Clark. Her brother AW (Sonny) Smith, Jr. also preceded her in death.

Roxie grew up in Northeast Arkansas. She moved to San Francisco where she met Lee and together, they raised their four sons. Roxie and Lee later moved to Penngrove where she spent the last 30 years. She loved music and sang in many church choirs and college music programs. She was a member of the Vintage Choir in Rohnert Park, CA and she indulged in her love of sewing by belonging to the Cross & Crown Quilters group. Although she was born into the Methodist Church in Arkansas, she was an active member of the Cross & Crown Lutheran Church in Rohnert Park.

To honor Roxie’s request, there will not be any funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Roxie’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cross & Crown Lutheran Church or Disabled American Veterans.
