Luigia Maria Andrighetto
Originally of Asolo in Treviso, Italy, passed away after suffering a stroke at her home in Millbrae, CA on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. She was 81. Her passing is preceded by the early death of her grandson, Anthony Andrighetto, and her sister Romana Zalunardo in Australia.
Known to most of her friends and family as Gina, she will be remembered for her love of her large family, all things Italian, and her unmistakable accent.
Bravely traveling to California on her own as a young woman of 17, she placed unwavering trust for her health and well-being in the hands of the man who would soon become her husband of 64 years, Guido Andrighetto. She leaves him alongside their four children: David, Steven, Domenic, and Lisa (Mullins).
Gina is survived by her brothers, Paolo Zandona in Feltre, Italy, Luciano Zandona in Pollock Pines, CA, Luigi Zandona in Australia, and her sister, Mariella Signor in Castelcucco, Italy. Gina will also be remembered by her 14 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren for whom she had immense pride, and cherished dearly.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at St. Dunstan’s Church in Millbrae on Wednesday, May 11th at 11am followed by her burial at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. A reception for friends and family will be held, but the current location is To Be Determined.
