Kathleen “Kathy” Charlene Reilly was born in San Francisco on July 18,1982 and peacefully passed away due to complicati­ons from epilepsy on May 13, 2022, surrounded by her family. Kathy was raised in Burlingame attending Jean Weingarten Oral School for the Deaf, Franklin Elementary and Burlingame Intermedia­te schools before going to California School for the Deaf in Fremont where she graduated from high school. She then attended Ohlone College studying business and early childhood developmen­t.

Kathy worked in a deli and in retail before working as a teacher’s aide in special education. Kathy loved sports, playing softball, and managing the girls’ basketball team in high school. She was a big fan of the Warriors and the San Francisco Giants and loved watching their games.

Kathy filled our lives with joy, her smile would light up any room and her loving personalit­y was welcomed by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her parents, Nancy and Bill Reilly; brother Bill Reilly (Jennifer), sister Chrissy Dowdall (John), nieces: Peyton Reilly, Jaiden Reilly, and Cara Dowdall, nephews: Conall Dowdall, and Treyton Reilly.

Kathy will also be dearly missed by her boyfriend Terry Chen, her long-time best friend Mary Brogan Fales, and her aunts and uncles: Barbara Corzonkoff (Mike), Peggy Kostolefsk­y (Carl), Maureen Geneste (Paul), Bud Reilly (Barbara), Jim Reilly (Cindy) and cousins: Michael and Christophe­r Reilly, Jason and Jonathan Geneste, Lisa and Andrew Kostolefsk­y, Jackie and Jimmy Reilly, Alexis and Michael Corzonkoff. Kathy was pre-deceased by her grandparen­ts, Chris & Margaret (Mul) Reilly, Charlie and Mary Rivers and Aunt Mary Ellen Reilly.

Friends are invited to a memorial mass at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. A reception will follow the memorial mass.
