Prioritize saving lives
Regarding “Don’t allow surveillance state” (Editorial, July 24): Your editorial on surveillance cameras, describes “low-level crimes, like drug dealing and property crimes” as not worthy of police surveillance activity. Just ask the parent of a person that dies of fentanyl overdose or someone who loses an expensive bike to burglaries, whether these crimes are “low level.” They are not to these victims, only to you folks in your secure ivory towers.
