Betty was born March 21, 1924 in the Quarry area of Oxford, England, and passed away peacefully in her apartment at the El Cerrito Royale on July 19, 2022. Living through the London Blitz and working as a British “Rosie the Riveter,” it was in Oxford that she met her husband of over 50 years, Edward Rupp, an American G.I. stationed near her home in Headington, England.

Betty was high spirited, vivacious, and full of life during her 98 years with us. She never shrank from a challenge, and arrived in America with her first born before the end of WWII. She made many good friends, cooked many good meals, and had many great hobbies, including winning turns at both bowling and golfing. Betty is survived by four loving children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Her entire family, especially her daughter Candy and sonin-law Jack, express their great appreciation for the loving care Betty received at the El Cerrito Royale. Following her cremation at Sunset View Mortuary and Cemetery, Betty will rejoin Ed forever at the Riverside National Cemetery.

Rest in Peace, Betty/ Mom/Grandma - we love you and will never forget you!
