Pamela Carretta

-

Passed on after a short illness on May 24, 2022.

Survived by first cousins, Linda Alonso, Alfred (Debi) Quartaroli and Laura Quartaroli (Rob); and many relatives and friends. Born on October 9, 1947, to the late Patrick and Adele Carretta. Granddaughter of the late Eugene and Susie Quartaroli. Niece of the late Thelma and Joe Alonso and the late Ted and Josephine Quartaroli. Girlfriend of the late Ron Damato, who passed on July 7, 2022, only 44 days after Pam passed.

Pam was a 3rd Generation Native San Franciscan, who resided her entire life in

S.F.’s Marina District.

Graduated from St. Brigid Grammar School in 1961 and St. Vincent High School (now S.H.Cathedral) in 1965. Worked for Bank of America on Market and Van Ness; was a dental assistant for Dr. Tognotti and a dental assistant and receptionist for Dr. Felton. Worked as a receptionist for Cliff Hong at “Simply Cuts” on Chestnut St. in S.F.’s Marina District for 26 years (and remained friends with Cliff). We called Pam, The Mayor of Chestnut St., because she knew everyone and was friendly to all.

A private service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
