Nancy Trenkle Towle born at Dante Sanitarium in San Francisco on May 31, 1927, died July 26, 2022 in Los Gatos. Predecease­d by husband Albert Towle, grandson Darrell Imber, and daughter-in-law Lynn Towle. She leaves behind three children: Linda Imber (Bob), Brad Towle, and Nan Towle Yamane; seven grandchild­ren: Sunny van Leeuwen (Bob), Brad Towle, Jr. (Tina), Steven Towle (Cristina), Jonathon Towle, Joseph Towle (Nicole), Michael Yamane (Devon), and Derek Yamane (Melissa); along with seven great grandchild­ren.

Born to Zipporah Elvira Wilcox and Edward Anthony

Trenkle, she created a life of love and adventure from early years on Filbert Street to Los Altos, Stockton, Saratoga, Millbrae, and Kona. She graduated from San Jose State University, raised three children, was a strong advocate of social justice, traveled the world, loved her multiple trips to Africa, and sailed from Tahiti to Hawaii on the 42 foot ketch “Pagurus.”

Strong in times of challenge, endlessly supportive, and always caring, she leaves a large, extended “ohana” who will miss her wonderfull­y determined­and-gentle spirit.
