Yvonne G.(Ratto) Neves, wife, beloved mother and grandmothe­r, intrepid businesswo­man, proud San Francisco native, and Balboa High alum (Fall ‘57), peacefully passed away on July 14th, 2022 at her home surrounded by her immediate family and loved ones. Yvonne was born to George and Lorraine Ratto on July 12th, 1940 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Francisco, CA. Her strong Italian roots exemplifie­d by her father and her uncles, Romero and Pete, were the foundation of her early family life. Yvonne loved her work as a school uniform executive. Throughout her 20-year career, Yvonne’s colleagues knew her as a kind soul who loved people. She had an infectious smile and contagious laugh that made a lasting impression on everyone. Along with her daughter and business partner of 25 years, Yvette, she co-founded Simply Uniforms, a staple of the Colma business community.

Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard, endearing brother-in-law Francis, loving daughters Yvette and Janette, attentive son Richard (Jennifer), and her precious grandchild­ren Chris, Kaliko, Keahi, Savannah, and Olivia. She is also remembered by many family members as “Aunty Bunny”.
