San Francisco Chronicle - (Sunday)
Allan A. Sebanc
June 10, 1930 - July 16, 2022
Surrounded by his loving family, Allan A. Sebanc passed away at his home in San Mateo. A longtime resident of Hillsborough, Allan attended Catholic schools in San Francisco, graduating from San Francisco State University with a Masters in Education. He went on to be a teacher and principal in the San Francisco school system while investing in real estate for over 60 years. He left the school system in the early 1970s and devoted his career to his real estate investments, first in California and then into other parts of the United States. His wife of 65 years, Beverly, who predeceased him in February of 2022 worked closely along side him in their real estate business.
In his younger years, Allan enjoyed boating on the San Francisco Bay and later the Delta and was a car enthusiast.
The greatest joys in his life were his two grandchildren. He spent much time with them in their youth and praised their many accomplishments always. He will be remembered as a very generous grandfather to them both.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Dobos, son-in-law Ted Dobos, of Hillsborough; his grandchildren Teddy Jr. and Spencer Grace; his brother in law Kenneth McCloskey of Hillsborough, and two nieces, Rev. Kendy Easley of Seattle and Kelly McCloskey of Sun Valley, ID and their families.
Private family services have been held with Interment at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma next to his wife Beverly, her sister Charlotte McCloskey, and her parents and grandparents.
For those who desire, contributions in his memory to the Mills Peninsula Hospital Foundation are suggested, where his daughter Stacey Dobos contributes her time as a Board member. https://www.sutterhealth.org/mills/giving
