Robert Cabell Carrington

-

Robert, known by many as Roger, was overtaken by small cell lung cancer, at home in Novato. Born in Lynchburg, VA to Billy and Norvell Carrington, he graduated from E.C. Glass High School (‘69) and Virginia Commonwealth University (‘74), where he met his wife Anne Peet and formed other life-long friendships. Settling in the San Francisco Bay Area in ‘77, the couple discovered a community of kindred spirits. A music enthusiast, Roger delighted in sharing his record collection through gifts of marvelous mix tapes. His passion for pencil, pen and pigment began as a tyke, ceasing only at death. Notable, were his quiet good nature, sense of the absurd, love of crime novels and animals. Some will remember him as assistant to the law librarians at Bank of America SF, and at the Marin County Law Library.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, siblings, cousins , nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends galore. He would be glad for any contributions to the Pine St. Clinic, San Anselmo, and Marin Cancer Care, Greenbrae.
