Thomas Luttrell

Thomas Luttrell, born in Oakland, CA, on July 8, 1961. He loved The Town, the A’s, his friends and neighbors from Rockridge, where he lived until 1971. After moving to Sacramento, he came back to attend UC Berkeley, earning a BA in History. His passion was cycling and he was a gifted creative writer who journaled daily for decades. He died September 1, 2022 from injuries sustained in a cycling accident. Tom’s wit, charm, style, charisma, and gentle heart will be missed by those who loved him, including Karen Rivo (wife), Marley Sarles (daughter), sister Elizabeth Luttrell (David Feder). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Airlift, Walk San Francisco or Marin Agricultural Land Trust.
