It’s all about control

Regarding “Employers need to get used to remote work” (Open Forum, Sept. 14): I was an advertising copywriter for several years, full-time until the mid-’70s when the first personal computers hit the market, and I realized that I no longer needed to work in an office.

I enjoyed my new workdays: no commuting, no hour-long meetings that should have lasted 10 minutes, no time sheets to fill out, no wasted breaks
