Beryl Marguerite Curry, age 97, passed away peacefully in her home on September 20, 2022 after visiting with her children. She was preceded in death by her daughter Therese; husband, Dr. Francis J Curry; parents, George & Helen Swanell and her sister Edna.

Beryl was born on February 5, 1925 in Grand Forks, British Columbia and immigrated as a little girl to the United States with her parents and sister, settling in the Santa Clara Valley of California. Upon graduating high school, she entered the Nursing Program at Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and eventually took a nursing job at a small rural hospital in Ahwahnee, California where she met her husband Francis Curry, MD.

She is survived by her eight children; Francis, Joan, Elizabeth, Patrick, Thomas, Robert, William and James; their spouses, numerous grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Beryl was the cornerston­e of the family providing a loving home which welcomed family and friends. Her hobbies included sewing, quilt making, and other crafts.

She was a deeply Catholic woman who volunteere­d as a Docent at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco and at the St. Anne’s Home in San Francisco where she made crafts to sell for the Little Sister of the Poor Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Stephen Church, 601 Eucalyptus Drive, San Francisco. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in a private ceremony at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
