Roberta (Bobbie) Carol Mann Slutman, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2022. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on December 20, 1932, Bobbie spent a good part of her early years living in various cities in the Midwest before moving to Berkeley. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a BA degree. Bobbie and her husband Al moved to Los Gatos, California, in 1960, raising their three children in a town surrounded by orchards.

Bobbie was very active in parent activities at Blossom Hill Elementary, Fisher Jr. High and Los Gatos High schools (serving on the Family/Faculty and PTA Boards). She was a member of the Ming Quong Service League and served on the Village House Board (two years as President). She retired from The Indian Store, Los Gatos, after 30 years (25 as Store Manager).

Bobbie and Al moved into The Terraces of Los Gatos (TLG) in 2006. Bobbie worked on the Dining Committee for many years including being the Chair of said committee. She particularly loved planning the yearly luncheon for the Los Gatos Fire Department.

Throughout her life, Bobbie enjoyed traveling, reading, sports, and gardening. She and Al spent decades vacationing on Maui at their favorite spot to relax: Napili Kai Beach Resort.

Bobbie is survived by her children Lynda (Tina), Jim (Belinda, deceased) and Karen (Scott).

For over 60 years, Bobbie and her husband Al were true fixtures in Los Gatos, and they both served the town and helped shape it into what it has become today. They will be missed.
