Donald Dwain Davis entered into rest on September 23, 2022, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of late Edith Anne Davis for 64 years. Loving father to: Arnold (Laura), Diane Cagle (Allen), Karen (Galileo), Coleen, James (Laura) and John (Sheila) Devoted son of Woodrow A. Davis and June Vanderpool. Dear brother of Barbara Fimple, Billy Ann Pender and Woodrow Davis Jr.

Donald was born and raised in Las Animas, Colorado. He graduated from Rangeley High School in Rangely, Colorado. Shortly after graduation he enlisted into the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he was stopped by a beautiful woman who lived below his flat in San Francisco. She became the love of his life. Edith and Donald were married in January 1957. They raised their 6 children in San Bruno. Donald was a Fire Fighter for over 30 years in San Bruno and San Mateo Fire Department­s. After retiring in 1990 he moved from his San Bruno home in the Pacific Heights neighborho­od to the gold country town of Rough and

Ready where he lived with his wife Edith and daughter Coleen, along with many beloved cats and dogs.

Our dad was a kind loving man who was always present for his family.

His generosity and love extended to all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his 15 grandkids and two great grandkids teaching them to fish, water ski, boating and endless fun. He will be greatly missed by them all.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 10:30AM at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue in Daly City.
