Mary Jane Koch

August 30, 1940 - October 6, 2022

Nancy Jane Koch Passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Donald Payne, loving stepmother of Derek Payne, caring grandmother of Caley and Reilly Payne.

A native San Franciscan, Nancy graduated from Presentation High School and San Francisco State University, where she received her Masters degree in Education. She went on to teach at Lincoln High School for 36 years prior to her retirement in 1997. During her tenure at Lincoln High School, Nancy became the first woman to teach physics at the school, and she was also instrumental in founding the Girls Basketball team.

Nancy was a kind and loving woman who was always present for her family. Her generosity and love extended to all who knew her.

Nancy is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Reisner, father John Reisner, and many beloved, aunts, uncles and cousins. At Nancy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
